| The process begins with the nominating parties submitting entries, which
are screened for eligibility and category placement. The Jury members, all
involved in the creative and technical processes of Music Industry, then
participate in round (1) & (2) of the nominating process that determines the
five finalists in each category; and (3), the final voting process, which
determines the Indian Music Academy Award winners. |

| SUBMISSION |
| The nominating parties submit entries for original music tracks released
during the eligibility year which they consider worthy of recognition in the
Indian Music Academy Awards process. |
| |
| SCREENING |
| Screening process involves filtering by experts in various fields of the Music
Industry to ensure that entered recordings meet specific qualifications and
have been placed in appropriate categories, amongst others. The purpose of
screening is not to make artistic or technical judgments but rather to make
sure that each entry is eligible and placed in its proper category. |

| JURY 1 |
| First-round of Jury involves scaling down the screened entries to the 20
best nominations by the panel of jury members for each award. This Jury
process validation will be conducted under the inspection of independent
professional services firm Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Pvt. Ltd. for
tabulation. To help ensure the quality of the voting, jury members would
vote only in their fields of expertise. |

| JURY 2 |
| Second round of Jury would involve further filtering to the top 5
nominations for all the categories by a seperate jury, who are pioneers &
stalwarts in the Music Industry. This Jury process validation would be
conducted under the inspection of independent professional services firm
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Pvt. Ltd. for tabulation. |

| FINAL JURY 3 |
| Lists of the finalists are then placed before the final Jury, comprising of
members of Jury One and Two. Ballot processes are tabulated in secrecy
by independent professional services firm Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu
India Pvt. Ltd. for tabulation. |

| RESULTS |
| Results of jury voting are not known until the Awards presentation ceremony
when names of the winners are delivered by independent professional
services firm Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Pvt. Ltd. Indian Music
Academy Awards winners are revealed during the Awards function. |

| KINDLY NOTE |
| At any given point, if the winning song under any category is found to be
infringing copyrights, the Academy & the auditing firm reserves the right to
confiscate the award and confer it upon the next strong contender
nominated for the same category. |
